Nurse Aide: Clinical Only Option- $500

In-Person Skills Sessions:

-Wednesdays from 5:30 PM - 9:00 PM

-Attendance to the 2 skill in person classes is manadatory. We need to ensure you are familiar with the skills prior to going to the clinical site.

 

Clinical Schedule:

-Saturdays and Sundays from 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

 

Course Format and Exam

Certification:

The program prepares students to sit for the Texas CNA Exam, offered through Prometric. The fee for the exam is $125 and is paid directly to Prometric.

 

Course fee covers, a textbook for review, access to our online learning portal for practice exams and skills videos, 1 set of scrubs, gait belt, student liability insurance for clinical, background check and BLS Healthcare Provider certifications (AHA)

As an student enrolled with us for the clinical completion, you will have acces to our onlie portal where you will find  12 practice exams and skills videos for your review 

Course content includes:

Nurse Aide Externship (week 3 & 4)  of already ongoing class. Specific clinical dates will be confirmed after your enrollment. The course offering below are subject to chnage.

Required Student Materials

For consideration of admission to the school, proof of the following is required:

  1. Be at least 16 years of age.
  2. Submit proof of certificate of completion of CBT issued by Texas Health and Human Services
  3. Have a social security card (non-laminated), and proof of legal status in United states.
  4. Have a valid driver’s license or state or federally issued photo ID. Photocopies are NOT accepted
  5. Be able to read, write, and speak English
  6. Provide proof of successful completion of public, private, or home schooling at the high school level or obtainment of a recognized high school equivalency credential or GED.
  7. Cannot be listed as unemployable on the Employee Misconduct Registry (EMR) and cannot have been convicted of a criminal offense as listed in Texas Health and Safety Code 250.006.
  8. Be in good health and able to bend, twist, lift at least 50 pounds, and be free from communicable disease (health physical form to be filled out by students healthcare provider).
  9. Present evidence of current negative TB screen (a normal chest x-ray is acceptable if skin test is positive, or student has received BCG vaccine)
  10. COVID-19 vaccinations are not mandatory however clinical affiliates may restrict or deny unvaccinated individuals from participating in the required clinical rotations. Diamond Career Institute may not be able to find a suitable alternative resulting in delayed or prevention of completion of the program. This would render the student ineligible for their certificate of completion thus also preventing them from sitting for the Texas state certification exam.
